No person elected to the shall during the term for which he was elected be appointed to any office created or the whereof are increased during such term, nor receive additional salary or compensation for service upon any recess committee or commission except a committee appointed to examine a general revision of the statutes of the commonwealth when submitted to the for adoption.

No person elected to the general court may, during the term for which he was elected, be appointed to any office created or whose emoluments are increased during that term, nor receive extra pay for service on a recess committee or commission, except a statutes-revision committee.
